The primary purpose of this role is to deliver on market requirements and roadmap priorities to fulfill go-to-market strategies and meet customer gaps and commitments.  Responsible for market evaluation of new solutions and products through business cases, and the development and execution of go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and writes high-level technical and functional market specifications including requirements and detailed use cases for new product features across all Allscripts solutions relevant to market.
  • Synthesizes requirements from the various stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to engineering, professional services, and technical operations during design and implementation, and performs final market reviews of delivered features to ensure market viability.
  • Evaluates new and existing solutions, and builds business cases for market viability of Allscripts solutions.
  • Explains designs and constraints to stakeholders, through development of Business Cases and User Stories.
  • Develops go-to-market strategies for introduction of new products and features relevant to market.
  • Provides competitive analysis and works with Marketing on Sales market sheets
  • Plans and manages execution of product roadmaps, development schedules and product/component designs
  • Coordinates business and contractual arrangements with partners specific to market
  • Trains and supports others on functional area related topics
  • Supports and manages market advisory boards, user groups and SIGs as needed
  • Participates in solution steering committees to provide market insights and guidance
  • Reviews and ensures that all regulatory requirements specific to market are accurate and delivered within deadlines

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Marketing, Finance, or business related field
  • Market relevance and experience highly preferred

 

Experience:

  • 5 years related work experience as a Product or Solution Manager
  • Software design experience in complex, multi-tasking, real-time, highly availability systems
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience writing business cases, and performing market analysis
  • Experience with complex software solutions across multiple generations of product, preferably in agent-based solutions. Must be able to define and manage complex process and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

 

Travel Requirements:

  •  Ability to travel up 70% required

 

Working Arrangements:

    Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
