The primary purpose of this role is to manage and control of internal projects for the business, to ensure project completion on time to budget and meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

The specific job duties and responsibilities include:

 

  • Working with users to formulate and document business requirements;
  • Identifying, investigating, and analyzing business processes, procedures and work practices;
  • Identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices, and system functionality and behavior’;
  • Using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans and to estimate and define project work to meet project scope;
  • Taking responsibility for deploying functional system solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system and providing performance monitoring, information and reporting to diagnose the root cause of problems;
  • Ensuring Allscripts teams are taking corrective action as necessary to deliver complete scope, desired quality, and timeline of strategic programs to customers;
  • Creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training classes;
  • Developing functional specifications for use by system developers;
  • Using data and process modeling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software;
  • Acting as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system project decision making process and raising concerns timely to leadership regarding mismatch on project team member’s competencies.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification/s and/or employment experience required: This position requires the minimum of a bachelor’s degree with at least three (3) years work experience in healthcare IT project management and experience with Allscripts Sunrise product suite.
