    The primary purpose of this role is to help ensure product quality, through the planning and execution of:

    1) product testing, and/or

    2) process/product standards compliance.

     

    This person may have direct involvement in manual or automated test efforts or in developing and managing compliance to standards for process or product quality. Depending on the need and skill level, there may be more technical and/or planning and leadership dimensions to this role.

    Responsibilities

    • Experience : 4-6 years
    • Tests software applications for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards.
    • Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that applications function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
    • Contributes, reviews, and challenges functional requirements and user story acceptance criteria.
    • Quickly acquires and leverages business domain knowledge to bring clarity to business and system requirements.
    • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. 
    • Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems.  Will provide coaching and feedback to other functional areas or groups.
    • Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software.
    • Reviews new or modified programs, including documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts, to determine if software applications will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
    • May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards.
    • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented & monitored to increase efficiency.
    • Member of an Agile-based team to achieve work goals/objectives.

     

    Critical Skills

     

    • HP ALM, Microsoft Test Manager or an equivalent test management system for test case creation and tracking
    • Microsoft Team Foundation Server
    • Agile process and Scrum experience
    • Must be able to meet tight project deadlines
    • Must be flexible and results-oriented

     

    Additional Knowledge & Skills

     

    • Experience or familiarity with healthcare software is a plus
    • QA automation experience is a plus
    • Microsoft SQL Server query creation / data evaluation

    Qualifications

    Academic and Professional Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Program of study required
    • Relevant post graduate qualifications and professional memberships desired
    • Proactive maintenance of knowledge of test and/or quality standards to improve product or process quality

    Experience:

    • This person will meet the work and professional experience requirements in this field that are appropriate for this level

    Travel Requirements:

    • None

    Working Arrangements:

    • Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
    • A person working at this level would be based from one of the primary development and testing locations and would maintain regular working hours appropriate for the location
